ABOUT ROB

My name is Rob Gardner and I am a Professional Decorator. I have gained 3 NVQ’s in painting and decorating and have been working in this field since 1996. 

I started my decorating career as soon as I left school. I joined an Exeter based company as a young apprentice in 1996. It was here that I was taught all the skills to become an excellent decorator and the ‘tips of the trade’. I also attended the painting and decorating course at Torquay College, South Devon for 3 years and won the apprentice of the year award in 1999. 

By mid 2001 I had gathered crucial experience with this firm and had been promoted to a  supervisory position. It was at this point that I decided to travel around the world for four months before returning to this country to start my own business.

In October 2001 I started my own decorating company. I now have a large customer base within Exeter and the surrounding areas. Much of my work is gained by recommendations and word of mouth. I have full public liability insurance up to £1million. 

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife Julia, two young sons Jake and George and Labrador Flo, playing golf and photography .

ABOUT DAVE

Dave is my father and has been working within the building trade for nearly 40 years. Trained as a carpenter and joiner he has been successfully running his own carpentry business in Exeter since 1982. As well as fitting kitchens, bathrooms, and general carpentry work he has been decorating since the early 1990's.

He currently helps me on some of my larger decorating jobs and repairs any rotten wood on my exterior work.

In his spare time he likes to go swimming and cycling.

ABOUT ELLIOTT

Elliot is my new apprentice for 2010. He is currently studying a NVQ in Painting and Decorating at Exeter college.

In his spare time he plays football and likes to socialise with his friends.

ABOUT BEN

Ben has been working as a professional painter and decorator for the past 5 years in both the domestic and commercial sectors. He has worked as the head of painting and decorating for development companies in North Devon. Ben has an eye for the perfect finish and knows just how to achieve it.

In his spare time Ben is a musician and enjoys sending his time with his girlfriend.
